ConTROLL

This short film is about the theme of being controlled, be it by the state, by technology, by others in society or by one’s own senses and emotions. Though never explored explicitly, but presented through metaphors, philosophical justifications and absurdist narratives. Through this film, we wanted  to present an experimental (non-coherent) narrative that breaks the illusionary of the contemporary that ‘apparatus of power can exert control over us precisely by letting us “do whatever we want” ‘ explored in Deluze’s notion on Society of Control.

This film won the outstanding achievement award at Tagore international film festival in the experimental film category.
